College Coaches

Nike Nationals - formerly held in Augusta, GA at the end of July - has moved to Chicago and will play July 10-12 alongside the main Tournament of Champions in the same Hall at McCormick Place. This move is obviously a convenience and likely substantial cost savings for all college programs, who typically sent coaches to both events in different cities over different dates.

A total of 720 teams will compete in the events: 672 teams will play in the Tournament of Champions, while 48 teams will compete in Nike Nationals (32 of the 16-under Nike EYBL teams and 16 of the 15-under Nike EYBL teams).

All games for both events will be held in the South Building, Hall A at McCormick Place. McCormick is the largest convention center in North America; 72 regulation sized basketball courts will be constructed in the Hall, including six floors dedicated to Nike Nationals.

Both Nike Nationals and the Tournament of Champions begin at 8:30 A.M. on Monday, July 10 and championship games will be at 1:00 P.M. and 2:30 P.M. on Wednesday, July 12. A detailed schedule will be posted online prior to the event(s).

COLLEGE REGISTRATION (times subject to change)
College registration will begin on Sunday, July 9 from 5:30 P.M. to 7:30 P.M. at NIKE CHICAGO, 669 N. Michigan Avenue, Chicago, IL 60611. Recruiting guides for the Tournament of Champions, which include admission for both events for all three days, are $660 for NCAA Division I coaches; $330 for NCAA Division II and NAIA coaches; and $170 for NCAA Division III and NJCAA coaches. Additional guides for coaches from the same institution are half price for the second guide and 75% off for the third and fourth guides. The Nike Nationals guide is free with the purchase of a Tournament of Champions guide. Coaches wishing to attend the events without purchasing a guide may do so: $220 per day for NCAA Division I coaches; $110 per day
for NCAA Division II and NAIA coaches; and $55 per day for NCAA Division III and NAIA coaches.

Those coaches not registering on July 9 may do so beginning July 10 at 7:30 A.M. at McCormick Place, South Building, Hall A, in the main concourse. Although we are increasing staff over 2016, there may be long lines.

Division I, II and NAIA coaches may now purchase recruiting guides in advance (D III and NJCAA sales will be on site only). We strongly suggest doing so. Guides may be picked up at the registration times noted above - simply go to the area marked presales. Each coach must be present to pick up his or her guide (one coach cannot pick up multiple guides). Day passes are NOT available online and must be purchased on site. Save the emailed receipt for your records - you will not receive another one. To purchase your guide(s) now, click here.

There are still a few rooms left online. To make hotel reservations, click here.
