NIKE Tournament of Champions: CHICAGO July 9-12, 2017
Chicago, IL

Coaches' Information

Any person participating in coaching activities or sitting on the team bench in an NCAA-certified event is required to obtain a USA Basketball Gold License. This process may take up to three weeks - do not procrastinate.

Click here to apply for your USAB Gold License.

Rosters for our collegiate recruiting guides will be printed directly from the NCAA BBCS.  Be aware that building your roster requires your athletes' participation.

Rosters must be built on the NCAA BBCS no later than June 16. This deadline is strictly enforced; teams failing to comply will be removed from the event and no refunds will be issued.

All parents must read and sign our online waiver of liability no later than July 6. Athletes who do not have waivers signed by a parent or legal guardian will not be allowed to participate. If waivers are signed from a device or IP address that belongs to a coach or person who is not the parent or legal guardian of the child, both the coach and athlete will be ineligible to participate. Please share this link to our Waiver of Liability with parents immediately. If you do not share this link and a family fails to submit the waiver, you may be without one or more players in Chicago. Do not delay.

REGISTRATION (note new start time)
All NCAA approved persons coaching in this year's event must register on Sunday, July 9 from 5:30 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at NIKE Chicago, 669 N. Michigan Avenue, Chicago, IL 60611. There are no exceptions to this requirement. Absolutely no players or parents.

Each team will be required to provide either the scorekeeper or timer for each of their games. The home team will keep score and the away team will operate the scoreboard. Each team will be provided with one scorekeeper tournament pass and one shuttle pass, both of which will be included in your registration materials. Please be sure that the person you designate is familiar with basketball scorekeeping and portable (tabletop) scoreboards.

Please familiarize yourself with our Game Rules and the Floor Plan at McCormick Place.

Each team is responsible for providing its own basketballs, drinking water, and training supplies (tape and pre-wrap).

Certified athletic trainers will be available from 7:30 A.M. until the conclusion of the last game on each day. Trainer stations will be clearly marked and located throughout the Hall. Players wishing to be be taped prior to games are responsible for providing their own tape and pre-wrap.

Uniformed players and NCAA approved coaches who are staying in tournament hotels (reserved through onPeak) are entitled to complimentary shuttle service between downtown Chicago and McCormick Place. Simply show your credentials at boarding. Shuttles will run continuously beginning at 7:00 A.M. each day and stop every 30 minutes at each of four designated stops: the Hilton Chicago; the Palmer House Hilton; the Marriott Mag Mile/Doubletree Mag Mile; and the Sheraton Grand/Hyatt Regency Chicago. It is a short walk from other hotels to one or more of these stops.

Please inform families and fans that the McCormick Place Box Office does not accept creditcards, so sales are cash only on site. If anyone wishes to purchase tournament or shuttle passes by credit card online, Wednesday, July 5 is the last day to do so. Please share the link with parents to Advance Ticket Sales. Parents may board shuttles on the morning of July 10 for free (one way only to McCormick); all boarding thereafter will require a pass.

Will be released on July 7. Please do not ask for schedules in advance. Many factors were considered when forming pools, including relative strength, geography, and past performance in this event.
