The Fourth Annual NIKE Tournament of Champions for girls' volleyball will take place October 18 - in Phoenix, Arizona. After host 64 teams from across the nation in 2012. All non-local teams will be housed at the AAA Four-Diamond Arizona Grand Resort.
The event's primary venue will again be Court One, a new, state of the art playing facility located in Tempe, just minutes away from the Arizona Grand. Court One features six regulation hardwood courts, a coaches' hospitality lounge, a retail store for tournament apparel, and full concessions stand.
Initially established as a basketball only event in California in 1996, the Tournament of Champions has hosted more than 18,000 student athletes from 41 states and Canada, and publications like the USA Today and ESPN have described the events as "staggering" and "unparalleled."
The Tournament of Champions is co-sponsored by Chandler High School and the Chandler Unified School District (CUSD). It is sanctioned by and through the Arizona Interscholastic Association (AIA) and the National Federation of High Schools (NFHS).
